The Department of Human Services provides students with the ability and motivation to identify, analyze, and respond to individual, group and cultural problems. The Department's programs focus on training and research in human services by providing for the continuing academic needs of rehabilitation, social work, counselor education, and criminal justice personnel. Its objectives, therefore, embody those objectives inherent in the missions of both the University and the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences in which the Department is housed and become operationalized through the work of the Department's components.
