SC State University’s Visual Arts Program will present the 44th annual Student Art Exhibition within the public spaces and galleries of the Fine Arts Building, located on the university’s campus. An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, April 27 from 4 – 6 p.m.
Fine arts students are encouraged to participate in the annual exhibition and will be provided an opportunity to present their works publicly. Non-art majors at SC State are also encouraged to submit their work. Claflin University Professor, Raishad Glover, will act as exhibition juror, and will select works for the inclusion in the exhibition. Prof. Glover received the Master of Fine Arts from Yale University and his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Tufts University.
The annual student exhibition provides an opportunity for the faculty, staff, alumni and students of SC State, as well as all interested members of the community, to recognize, support and celebrate the creativity of the burgeoning young artists within the university’s program.
This year’s annual show is accepting works utilizing any and all media, included but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, video, installation, new media, multimedia and interdisciplinary works.
