SC State University is bolstering its commitment to public education by exploring research-based educational policies and practices that will transform South Carolina’s educational landscape. SC State University and the 1890 Research & Extension Program are sponsoring an inaugural Education Summit, “Charting a Vision for Academic Success,” an important forum that will focus on moving South Carolina forward in closing achievement gaps.

Top-level state officials will join SC State administrators and faculty researchers, as well as professionals in our state who specialize in public education. The diverse group of speakers will directly address the complex challenges of closing the achievement gaps that impact education in South Carolina.

Registration Policy:

Refund and Cancellations: Regretfully, refund and cancellation requests will not be granted; however, conference registrations are fully transferable (See Substitution Policy).  Registrants who do not show for the Summit will automatically forfeit all applicable registration fees paid.

Substitutions: Substitutions for paid registrants may be made at any time. However, written notice is required, and must be received on or before Tuesday, March 5, 2013.  Written notices may be sent to Keesha Pelzer, registration coordinator, at
