Advance the Cause
Assets development, faculty research development, academic development, and athletic development are all causes critical to the continued success of the Historically Black College and University (HBCU). HBCUs enjoy a long and storied history of being the reservoir from which main stream and corporate America has drawn its most successful talent. For this trend to continue, developing the best and brightest will require the certain standards and measurements already established or to be established, be reviewed, modified, and made the most of by South Carolina State University.
It is imperative and in SC State’s best interest, both corporately and civically, to be involved in neighborhood revitalization and economic development because communities that surround HBCU campus are often neglected by traditional resources.
In order for the SC State to continue to make strides, we must have a strong and vibrant community to attract faculty and students. To advance the cause, in the 21st century, strategic alliances must be informed. It is these alliances that create the economic resources that allow for the improvement in human and physical capital, not only SC State human and monetary resources to ensure that we maximize the leverage that these resources offer.
