South Carolina State University

The South Carolina State University Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, was chattered in 1971 to support the mission of SC State University. We received, hold, and manage private contributions on behalf of the University; and by doing so, we play a critical role in actively assisting students at our prestigious and historic University.

Thanks to the generosity of SC State alumni, family and friends, the Foundation partners with the University to offer access to students who desire higher education, promote special University projects, and enhance the quality of academic programs. Attracting quality students is essential for the future of the University.
