Dorothy Bethea is a licensed practical nurse and behavioral health professional whose career is rooted in compassionate patient care, community advocacy, and service. As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Nuclear Care Partners, she provides skilled nursing care, respiratory monitoring, patient assessments, and health education while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Her professional experience spans healthcare, behavioral health, psychology, and patient advocacy, reflecting a commitment to serving individuals across every stage of care.
Before entering nursing, Bethea built a diverse career in behavioral health, aviation, and financial services, serving as a Mental Health Counselor, Flight Attendant, and Senior Loan Officer. She remains deeply committed to community engagement through volunteer health education, providing blood pressure and glucose screenings, wellness initiatives, and outreach to underserved communities. An active member of the Greater Columbia Chapter of the South Carolina State University National Alumni Association and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Bethea also mentors aspiring healthcare professionals and supports scholarship, alumni, and community service initiatives.
Recognized as Elevate Lifestyle's Top 30 Under 30 Future Leaders of Charlotte, Class of 2016, she continues to advance health, education, and advocacy while pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
