Ebony Dyson is an educator and instructional leader committed to creating learning environments where students and teachers thrive. As Assistant Principal of School Climate & Culture at Abraham Lincoln High School in the School District of Philadelphia, she cultivates strong relationships with students, families, staff, and community stakeholders while overseeing school climate initiatives, student discipline, restorative practices, and teacher coaching. She also supervises culture support staff and security personnel, helping foster a supportive and equitable school environment.
In addition to her school leadership role, Dyson serves as an instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, where she strengthens science teaching practices for educators in grades 7–12. She is also Program Manager and Senior Instructor for the eCLOSE Institute and an instructor with the Fox Chase Cancer Center Immersion Science Program, providing research instruction, mentoring undergraduate interns, facilitating professional development for educators, and guiding students through laboratory-based scientific research. Earlier in her career, she taught secondary science in the School District of Philadelphia, where she developed environmental science curriculum, introduced a science research methods course, and promoted social-emotional learning in the classroom. Her work has contributed to scientific publications, national conference presentations, and STEM education initiatives.
A graduate of South Carolina State University, Dyson earned a Bachelor of Science before completing master's degrees in Secondary Urban Education and Educational Leadership & Policy, along with principal certification. She continues to exemplify Bulldog excellence through her commitment to educational leadership, science education, and expanding opportunities for students and educators alike.
