Advancing Patient Care
Shandera Perrin, MSN, FNP-AGPC, BSN, RN has dedicated her nursing career to delivering compassionate, high-quality care in some of healthcare's most demanding clinical settings. As a Step-Down ICU Nurse at Emory University Hospital, she provides specialized care for high-acuity patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions. In addition to serving at the bedside, she serves as a charge nurse, coordinating clinical operations and staffing assignments, while mentoring new nurses as a preceptor to promote professional growth and quality patient outcomes.
With more than a decade of clinical experience, Perrin has built expertise across critical care, emergency medicine, medical-surgical nursing, urgent care, orthopedic nursing, and plastic surgery. Her career has included nursing roles at Emory University Hospital, Piedmont Hospital, Northside Hospital, and Morgan Medical Center, where she has provided care for critically ill patients, conducted emergency assessments and interventions, collaborated with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and helped ensure continuity of care. Her commitment to clinical excellence and patient advocacy has been recognized with the DAISY Award and the SNA President Award.
A graduate of South Carolina State University, Perrin earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later completed her Family Nurse Practitioner–Adult Gerontology Primary Care degree. Through clinical leadership, mentorship, and compassionate patient care, she continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and the healthcare professionals she mentors.
