Oath

Army ROTC is a unique college elective that not only teaches you the technical skills used in the Army, but also the leadership skills necessary for success. ROTC training at SC State goes beyond the typical college classroom learning—from outdoor adventure training to tactical “missions,” our courses are designed to improve your ability to solve problems under stress.
You’ll learn the skills necessary to become an Army Officer, including how to motivate co-workers, act under pressure, and organize large, complex tasks. Through experiential learning with your class members, you’ll develop marketable skills like teamwork, tact, and communication. These skills will benefit you not only as an officer in the armed services but in your future educational and professional endeavors. Through ROTC courses, you’ll also earn credits that can be applied toward your diploma.
