Start Your Bulldog Experience

Wherever you are going in life, whatever you want to achieve, your journey starts at South Carolina State University. And that journey begins with applying for admission to SC State!

SC State has a tradition of empowering our students with the skills to succeed in any area. It began with our founding in 1896 and carried over to our proud history as a historically black college and university (HBCU). That tradition carries on today with our current status as a leading research institute and professional training ground for students in the Southeast (and beyond). Generations of scholars, leaders, generals, creators, and entrepreneurs have passed through our halls, and we boast more than 30,000 alumni with more than 18,500 working and improving their communities in South Carolina.

We can't wait for you to join us and be part of our legacy of excellence.
