Coming Home

home

South Carolina State University will welcome alumni and Bulldog fans to campus this week for Coming Home, a series of events culminating with Saturday’s men’s and women’s basketball games at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

Coming Home at South Carolina State University is a cherished tradition that brings together alumni, students, faculty, staff, and the greater Orangeburg community to celebrate the enduring legacy and spirit of Bulldog Tenacity.

This annual event serves as a second Homecoming of sorts, offering alumni the opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater, engage with current students, and witness firsthand the university’s continued growth and success.

Bulldog fans are encouraged to pack the house with a sea of garnet as the men’s and women’s teams take on the Morgan State Bears in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Showdown.

Beyond nostalgia and reunion, Coming Home is a powerful reminder of SC State’s lasting impact, fostering a sense of belonging, pride, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Through a series of dynamic events, networking opportunities, and community engagements, attendees can celebrate the university’s achievements, support its future endeavors, and play an active role in strengthening its influence both on campus and within the Orangeburg community.

As South Carolina State University continues to elevate its academic programs, expand its outreach, and enhance student experiences, Coming Home provides a meaningful platform to honor the past, embrace the present, and build the future.

This celebration is more than just a gathering — it is a reaffirmation of the resilience, excellence, and Bulldog Tenacity that define SC State and its extended community.
