Constructed in 1980, the Stanback is a one-of-a-kind facility for SC State students, members of the community and travelers to this nationally recognized state.  As the only combination art museum and planetarium on a historically black college or university (HBCU) campus - and one of few combination art museums and planetariums in the world- the facility offers you the opportunity to appreciate and study the arts and sciences in a single facility.
