Background
Lawrence has been employed at SCSU since 2014 as the Undergraduate Coordinator and Instructor. She was the 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year in the College of Graduate and Professional Studies and the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology. She is professionally licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of South Carolina and a nationally certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Lawrence also holds a South Carolina State Board of Education Certification in Speech Pathology and Educational Leadership.
Lawrence has a diverse range of experiences treating a variety of speech and language challenges to both children and adults in the following settings: public school contracts, hospitals, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, public and private schools, childcare centers, skilled nursing facilities, and home health.
