Juanita Asbury serves as a career counselor, acting as a professional guide to help individuals choose their career paths and achieve their vocational aspirations. She works closely with students in this capacity, offering valuable support in their journey to enter the workforce, transition between careers, and explore various employment opportunities. Additionally, Asbury assists students in making informed decisions that positively impact their overall well-being, particularly concerning education and career choices. Her expertise and dedication provide students with essential guidance to navigate the complexities of career development and achieve their goals.

With a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in Customer Service and fifteen years in Law-Enforcement, she brings a diverse skill set to her role. In her current capacity, Asbury is responsible for student counseling and managing office affairs, ensuring seamless operations within the Career Center.  During her tenure with the Career Center team, Asbury has played a pivotal role in enhancing the office environment and incorporating modern technology. Leveraging her expertise in campus security, she contributed to the establishment of the Laptop Initiative Program. This innovative program allows students to borrow laptops for their current or future semesters, ensuring they can access essential educational tools. Through this added resource, students can overcome technology barriers and focus on completing necessary assignments and continuing their education with confidence.
