Maggie O'Hara
Maggie O'Hara serves as an assistantpProfessor of art in photography as a part of the Visual Art Unit within the Visual and Performing Arts Department. O'Hara teaches all of the classes within the photography curriculum, and several other image-based classes that primarily serve non-majors on campus.

Background
O'Hara started at SC State in January of 2017 in a dual-duty position where she was the curator of the FAB Gallery and assistant professor of art, teaching 1-2 classes per semester. In August of 2020, O'Hara was hired into the full-time tenure-track assistant professor of art in photography position.

More About Maggie O'Hara
As an educator, O'Hara understands the importance of maintaining a presence in her professional field outside of academia. She is a practicing artist and actively participates in exhibitions at both the national and international level. Additionally, she is active in her arts community. She serves on the board for a non-profit photography organization and assists with the call for, curation, and hanging of exhibitions for local, national and international artists.
