Yvonne D. Sims
Dr. Yvonne Sims is an associate professor of English in the Department of English and Communications. Dr. Sims teaches an array of classes from general studies for undergraduates to graduate studies.
Education
- Ph.D. in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University, 2000
- MA in Comparative Literature from the University of South Carolina, 1995
- BA in English from the University of South Carolina, 1991.
Dr. Sims has been at SC State for 12 years and was an Assistant Professor at SC State from 2005 to 2007. Dr. Sims has taught at a variety of universities.
Research Interests
American studies, film studies, popular culture, race and ethnicity and gender studies.
