Dr. Curtis L. Coleman is a proven higher education leader whose career has centered on driving student success, enrollment growth, and institutional transformation. He currently serves as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Delta State University, where he spearheads strategic recruitment and retention initiatives, aligns enrollment with academic priorities, and advances the university’s mission through data-driven decision-making.

Previously, Dr. Coleman served as Executive Director of Admissions at Virginia State University, where he was instrumental in achieving the largest freshman classes in decades, boosting new student deposits by more than 50%, and strengthening admissions standards. His leadership also improved retention, modernized enrollment systems, and built a culture of student-centered service.

With more than a decade of experience across admissions, student affairs, and academic advising, Dr. Coleman has consistently delivered results by combining strategy, innovation, and mentorship. He is also an author and national presenter whose work addresses leadership, student success, and access to higher education.
