Dr. Shakeem S. Jenkins is a mission-driven healthcare executive whose 16+ years of experience span infectious disease prevention, public health leadership, and strategic healthcare operations. He has successfully led multimillion-dollar HIV and STD prevention programs, managed statewide health initiatives, and advanced policy reforms that directly address racial and geographic health disparities. As a leader, Dr. Jenkins is recognized for his ability to align federal and state health objectives with innovative, equity-driven solutions that expand access to care for high-burden and underserved communities. 

His career includes serving as Senior Prevention Program Manager at the Georgia Department of Public Health, where he directs statewide HIV prevention strategies, as well as Regional Clinical Operations Director for HealthyMD, where he expanded virtual and in-person models of care across Georgia. In the private sector, Dr. Jenkins contributed as a Senior Associate in PwC’s Public Sector Practice, advising federal and state clients on Medicaid transformation, digital health modernization, and future-state public health frameworks. His academic contributions as an adjunct professor in project management reflect his commitment to mentoring the next generation of healthcare leaders. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Jenkins has been recognized for his visionary leadership, receiving honors such as South Carolina’s Black Top 20 Under 40 and Public Health Leader of the Year. He continues to serve on regional and national councils, delivers expert presentations at major health conferences, and champion initiatives that center cultural competence, health equity, and organizational innovation. His impact reflects not only a dedication to public health, but also a transformative vision for improving systems of care nationwide.
