Postponed: Fall 2025 Passport Fair

South Carolina State University will host its upcoming Passport Fair on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025. from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. in Belcher Hall, Room 207. Thanks to the support of President Conyers, the first 100 student applications will be covered completely free. The event is open to students, faculty, staff, and the public.

SC State honors legacy of Dr. Jade Jihan Robinson with endowed fund supporting future health and physical education leaders

South Carolina State University has established the Dr. Jade Jihan Robinson Health and Physical Education Society Endowment, a permanent fund that celebrates the life and legacy of a beloved educator, mentor, and community leader whose impact continues to inspire Bulldogs across generations. The endowed fund, totaling $101,500, will provide ongoing support for active members of the Health and Physical Education Society, an organization Robinson sponsored and led with passion.

Meet Kelsey Whetstone, a new Clyburn Scholar at SC State University

As a first-year biology student at South Carolina State University, Kelsey Whetstone is striving toward a career in pediatric medicine. An Orangeburg resident, Whetstone is cozily familiar with SC State, having spent her pre-kindergarten years at SC State’s Childhood Development Learning Center and her K-8 years at Felton Laboratory School on campus before enrolling at the High School for Health Professions. Plus, her parents are Bulldog alumni, making her a legacy freshman.

Meet Malcolm Salters, a new Clyburn Scholar at SC State University

Malcolm Salters wants to be a lawyer and a lawmaker, and he already has a leg up toward that goal via an internship with a state legislator’s law firm. And although he is in his first year of studies at South Carolina State University, he already has one college degree under his belt, thanks to a dual enrollment program between Kingstree High School and Williamsburg Technical College.
