The South Carolina State University Concert Choir will present its final performance of the 2025 season with the Christmas portion of Handel’s “Messiah.” The Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Johnnie J. Felder, will be joined by a quartet of outstanding soloists, a 20-piece orchestra, and guest conductor Christopher Leysath for Handel’s most celebrated work.

As a first-year biology student at South Carolina State University, Kelsey Whetstone is striving toward a career in pediatric medicine. An Orangeburg resident, Whetstone is cozily familiar with SC State, having spent her pre-kindergarten years at SC State’s Childhood Development Learning Center and her K-8 years at Felton Laboratory School on campus before enrolling at the High School for Health Professions.
