University Recruiting ($1,250,000)

This initiative is dedicated to attracting the brightest and most talented students by enhancing marketing efforts and building strong recruitment partnerships with high schools across the region. The primary objective is to improve student retention and enrollment, enabling the University to achieve its growth goal of 5,000 students as indicated in the SC State Strategic Plan: The Garnet and Blueprint 2030.

Key strategies include offering GAP scholarships and retention scholarships to high-achieving students who lack adequate financial support. These targeted efforts will not only support students in reaching their academic potential but also play a vital role in ensuring the University’s long-term sustainability and success.

Advancing the University ($1,000,000)

This initiative provides vital seed funding to amplify SC State’s strengths and achievements through strategic marketing, friend-raising, and fundraising efforts. These investments are essential to attract high-performing students, increasing financial support, and solidifying the University’s position as a competitive and influential institution at the state and national levels.

The $1,000,000 in seed funds will be allocated to the following key areas:

  • Marketing Campaigns: Highlighting SC State’s accomplishments and unique offerings to a broader audience.
  • Friend-Raising Efforts: Building and strengthening relationships with alumni, community members, and stakeholders.
  • Fund-Raising Initiatives: Securing critical resources to support the University’s mission and programs.
  • Public Relations and Outreach: Expanding SC State’s visibility and fostering goodwill within and beyond the state.

These funds will establish a robust framework to enhance SC State’s reputation, drive enrollment, and support long-term growth and advancement.
