At South Carolina State University, our Bachelor of Science in Physical Education degree—with an emphasis on sport communication—is an interdisciplinary program that will prepare you to obtain a sport communication job within the areas of athletics writing and broadcast media. Our sport communication degree helps you to apply the theoretical and practical dimensions of sport communication in electronic, print, and broadcast media.
By completing the program requirements, you will earn a B.S. degree in physical education with an option in sport communication. You’ll be prepared for sport communication jobs in print media, digital media, sports documentaries, sports movies, sports entertainment, sports TV shows, and more. In fact, many opportunities in sport communication exist behind the scenes, in roles such as equipment technician, audio engineer, sport videographer, graphic designer, technical writer, and more.
