Meet Trustee Beatty
Stephen V. Beatty is chairman of the South Carolina State University Foundation and
sits on the univesity's Board of Trustees as an ex-officio member. He is a 1994 SC
State graduate, having earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
Why do you serve SC State?
I believe in the value that this historic institution provides for the people it serves. SC State has been an important vehicle of social mobility for underserved communities since its inception. I want to help my alma mater continue this important work.
Background
Beatty is a partner in The Beatty Group. He has over 20 years of experience in finance, operations and business development. He has extensive experience in mortgage and capital finance. He is a 2nd generation SC State graduate.
He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and the SC State University National Alumni Association.
