SC State’s Marching 101 Band and football stadium shine in 803Fresh's ‘Boots on the Ground’ video

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State University takes center stage in the new video from rising Southern Soul artist 803Fresh, whose viral hit “Boots on the Ground” is making waves across the country.

Much of the music video was filmed on April 29 in SC State’s iconic Oliver C. Dawson Stadium, with the university’s famed Marching 101 Band — especially the high-stepping drum majors — featured front and center.

From precision routines to signature moves, the Marching 101 adds its signature flair to the track’s hard-hitting energy. The stadium’s sweeping backdrop and electric vibe showcase the pride and tradition of Bulldog Nation.

The day of the shoot, SC State's Amauri Allen sat down with 803Fresh to talk about the production.
