ORANGEBURG, S.C. — As South Carolina State University prepares to welcome thousands of alumni and visitors for Homecoming 2026, the university is taking additional steps to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students, alumni and guests.

As part of those efforts, access to campus residential areas will be limited to resident students during Homecoming Week activities. Residence Hall visitation by nonresident guests will not be permitted during this period, Friday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 25.

SC State's Homecoming celebration, known as the “Livest Homecoming in America,” is one of South Carolina's largest daytime celebrations, drawing students, alumni and visitors to Orangeburg.

The restrictions are part of the university's commitment to campus safety best practices and continuous improvement in security measures.

Game tickets required for Saturday campus access

All individuals entering the SC State campus on Saturday, Oct. 24, must have a valid Homecoming football game ticket. The requirement applies to everyone entering campus, including pedestrians and all passengers in vehicles.

Fans and visitors are encouraged to purchase game tickets and parking passes in advance at www.scsuathletics.com to help expedite campus entry and reduce traffic congestion.

SC State appreciates the cooperation and understanding of students, alumni and guests as the university takes proactive steps to protect the safety and well-being of the Bulldog community.
