Antley rejoins SC State as religious life and community service/outreach coordinator
ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Desimond S. Antley has been appointed coordinator of religious life and community service/outreach in South Carolina State University’s Division of Student Affairs.
“I am excited to work with Mr. Antley as he brings a fresh perspective, innovative ideas and experience in implementing successful religious and community service initiatives,” said Dr. Tamara Jeffries-Jackson, SC State vice president for student affairs. “This position plays a vital role in fostering spiritual growth, building community connections, and promoting social and civic responsibility on campus and in surrounding communities.”
Antley is an Orangeburg native. He previously served the university as a professional advisor in the Department of Student Success and Retention (now the Student Success Center) from 2021-2022. His experience in higher education also includes being an admissions counselor/recruiter at Orangeburg-Calhoun Tech and Voorhees College.
Antley is a 2015 graduate of Bethune-Bowman High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministry from Morris College, Sumter, South Carolina, in 2020. He is also the senior pastor of Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Allendale, South Carolina.
